Problem Solving - Flashing

Cause:

The halo effect, or flashing, is caused by light reflecting on the surface, highlighting two areas of painted surface which have been applied (or textured) differently.  In the example shown here, the problem is the result of an original application by roller and a later "touch up" by brush.  The effect particularly stands out when viewed at an acute angle.

Solution:

Repaint to the nearest whole area.
